Our two product lines - Glass reactors and pressure reactors

Buchiglas (Büchi AG) offers two distinct product lines

  • Reactor systems & process equipment made of glass, glass-lined steel and other corrosion resistant materials
  • Pressure reactors / stirred autoclaves made of different metals and glass

Glass reactors & process equipment

Buchi glass reactors and process equipment convince with outstanding performance, robustness, versatility and longest service life. Our reactor systems, nutsche filters and scrubbers are used in labs, pilot plants and production facilities.

Typical applications include among others cGMP manufacturing of APIs and intermediates, various chemical syntheses, scale-up and process development.

Buchi apparatus and systems are built with Swiss made highest quality borosilicate glass components and various other components made of highly corrosion-resistant materials such as glass-lined steel, fluoropolymers and Hastelloy®.

Our glass piping remains flexible at all time due to our unique and proprietary flexible joint system “buchiflex”

Pressure reactors / stirred autoclaves

Buchi pressure reactors and stirred autoclaves are used for various reactions under pressure such as hydrogenation, polymerization, catalyst screening and corrosion testing. Our pressure reactor systems are used in laboratories, pilot plants and for small-scale production.

Buchi high pressure reactor systems are designed for the use of metal pressure vessels. We offer engineered solutions tailored to your needs and specific requirements as well as a broad range of standardized systems.

The unique and proprietary Buchi system design allows for interchangeability of vessels in different volumes and materials – glass or metal.

With our sophisticated engineering and the use of high performance materials, such as various stainless steels, Hastelloy®, tantalum, titanium, zirconium, borosilicate glass, glass-lined steel, ceramics and fluoropolymers, we fulfill the most demanding pressure, process and corrosion resistance requirements.
